The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is a 15-week program designed to prepare students for employment as EMTs. EMTs are trained to provide basic emergency medical care to the sick and injured at the scene and while transporting patients by ambulance to the hospital.
To satisfactorily complete the EMT program, students must complete all required course work and pass both the New York State EMT Practical Skills Exam and the New York State EMT Written Exam.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 8.0 Reading/8.0 Math Score on TABE
- High school diploma or GED
- No felony convictions
- Must have a clean driver's license
