English For Speakers Of Other Languages (ESOL)

 

 

 

This program is designed to help speakers of other languages improve their English.  With improved language skills, students can continue their education at the Syracuse EOC, enter college or enter or advance within the workplace.

Academic Eligibility Requirements:

Pass ESL placement exam

Attend program orientation

Elective Computer Course Requirements:

• NEW Beginning ESL students are only eligible to enroll in a Basic Keyboarding course.
• Established Beginning ESL students are eligible to enroll in all elective computer courses via teacher recommendation.  Teacher recommendation must be in writing.
